Gram Bharti College, Ramgarh, Kaimur was founded on 20.06.1971 as a holy temple of goddess Saraswati for the promotion of rural culture, civilization & knowledge by people representatives, social workers & intellectuals of this region. This college comes under Kaimur district Bihar, far away from the border of Uttar Pradesh, where there is no system for obtaining higher education. The pupil of good houses get the education in Ara, Sasaram, Varanasi and Buxar, But the poor and meritorious students would have been deprived of higher education. This college was set up in line with the requirements of this area and awakening to get higher education in poor students of this region. This college, located in rural surroundings, reminisces the mythological Gurukulas and Shanti Niketan, in which the poor students of different castes and religions have been successful in getting higher education from far-flung villages. This college was established by leader Late Sacchidanand Singh, Irrigation Minister, Bihar Government, Vidyasagar Singh, former Principal, High School Ramgarh and other social activists of this area. Local people have resolved the problems of the land by giving there land for the college. Today the college has about 14 acres of land on Mohania Buxar road, in which the college is standing with its grandeur and prosperity. This

college got its affiliation on 26.11.1973 by Magadh University, Bihar and Govt. of Bihar. After that our college becomes a constituent unit of Magadh University, Bihar on December 1, 1986. In this college, the education of arts, science and commerce stream is given from intermediate to graduation level. Recently, professional studies has begun such as in BBA and BCA which is a matter of pride for this college.
